Two PA Workers Rescued from M&M Chocolate Tank

Firefighters responded to rescue two workers after they fell into a chocolate tank at an Mars M&M plant in Lancaster County.

Two workers were freed after falling into a chocolate tank at an Elizabethtown Mars M&M plant Thursday.

A dispatcher told ABC27.com that firefighters were called in to cut a hole after the two workers fell into the tank around 2 p.m.

One worker was rescued by 3:10 p.m. and the second was freed by 3:25, the television station reported.

The workers were taken to the hospital and their conditions were not know, NBC Philadelphia said.

A factory spokesperson told ABC27 that they were “extremely grateful for the quick work of the first responders.”
